Co-founder of Spiral Media, Edgar Alcala has over 17 years of experience in television and film production. In 1996 he joined TV Azteca as a Senior Producer where he directed several branding campaigns for Canal 13.
Since 2000, he has collaborated with Televisa and Endemol International where he has gained broad experience in the production and post-production of different reality shows such as Big Brother, Codigo Fama, Operacion Triunfo, Ay Amor and Fear Factor.
In 2004 he moved to Miami where he post-produced Top Ranked PPV Shows. That same year he was the director of photography in the film Malcha Movis. Since founding Spiral Media with Raquel de Antonio, Edgar has produced more than 200 videos for different companies.
Raquel de Antonio
Raquel de Antonio has worked as a producer and director since 1997. She got her start in Televisa as a director of Telehit music video channel advertising campaign and producer of the television show El Taller.
Over the last several years Raquel has produced work for broadcasters such as Editorial Clio, TV Azteca and Televisa.
In 2005 she co-founded Spiral Media and has worked as a director and producer on many commercials, corporate videos and documentaries for Current TV such as Journey to Life, Deathbot Deathmatch, Baby Catching Pro, Earthrace, Cuban Exile, Bioterrorism and A Nature’s Choice, a film that screened in many international film festivals.
A corporate American turned eco-blogger, Rebecca Carter has carved out a niche by focusing on social media and the environment since 2006. Rebecca was recently featured in Glamour magazine as one of 70 eco-achievers alongside Alicia Silverstone and Christie Brinkley. She was also named Best Environmentalist by Miami New Times “Best of 2008″ and is one of EarthFirst.com’s Hottest Girls in Green.
Rebecca is the founder of greenerMiami.com, a blog and complete online resource for everything “eco” in South Florida. She is co-founder of Ecorazzi, a green celebrity gossip blog focusing on entertainment news related to the environment, humanitarian, and animal rights issues boasting half a million pageviews a month.
Rebecca was born in Boston, grew up in Sarasota, and has lived in a total of 11 cities in two countries. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She lives with her husband and little boy in Miami.
